The Lewistown HUB takes their HUB on the road - they take their supplies from their HUB to local churches and have work days off site. On November 21, 2009 they gathered at Trinity UMC and assembled 120 health kits.
Their 2010 schedule follows:
All gatherings will begin to put together kits at 10:00. Set-up may begin at 9:30.
February 27, 2010-Watts UM-health kits
March 27, 2010-First UM-health kits
April 17, 2010-Wesley UM-health kits
June 19, 2010-Grove UM-health kits
August 21, 2010-Wayne UM-school kits
September, TBA, 2010 -yearend reorganizational meeting
November, TBA, 2010-Trinity UM-health kits
God's people answered the call to help as 310 health kits were made at the February 27, 2010 HUB gathering at WATTS United Methodist in Belleville, Pa. There were 23 volunteers representing 6 churches making kits but donations came from throughout the area. Our next gathering will be March 27 at First United Methodist in Lewistown.
Also add the following: The HUB room at First is open on Wednesday from 9:00-12:00 or they can call Jen Lynch at 717-248-8229 or e-mail at responder1824@msn.com. The room is accepting most donations except computers. It is requested that items be labeled with the name of the church contributing. Thank you.
